Removing The Upper Wishbone On A 159/BRERA
There are two general types of upper wishbones for these models depending on the year.
LEFT side 51787337/51835397
RIGHT side 51787336/51835398.
Mounting bolt 60692921.
Workshop time: 1 hour
 | Remove the front wheel nuts and wheel. |
|
 | Undo the nut to the ball joint. |
|
 | Give the pillar an assuring tap with the magic hammer to loosen any corrosion, |
|
 | and pull the ball joint out. |
|
 | Undo the left wishbone bolt. |
|
 | Undo the right wishbone bolt. If the spring is preventing the bolt from coming out.... |
|
 | ....you can jack the lower arm causing the spring to compress slightly.... |
|
 | ....or prise the gap between the spring wider. |
|
 | Remove the upper wishbone. |
