As keen Alfa Romeo Fans you may be interested in the Alfa Romeo Yacht, yes Alfa Romeo sponsors a yacht, and as ever it is a very, very stunning looking craft.

Skippered by Neville Crichton and designed by Reichel Pugh, Alfa Romeo will be at Skandia Cowes Week to compete in the racing, which starts with the race around the cans on Friday the 3rd of August followed by the round the Isle of Wight race on the 8th August and finishing with the coastal race on the 9th of August. Afterwards, she takes part in the prestigious Rolex Fastnet Race, leaving Cowes on the 12th of August and sailing to the Fastnet rock, before returning to the finish at Plymouth. The Skipper and his crew of 24 are trying to beat the course record set eight years ago, a significant target considering that there are 300 boats in the contest.

The Fastnet race has the reputation of being one of the toughest in the world and is frequently affected by storms and rough seas.
